Important information regarding check in and check out
1) To make your check-in process smooth and convenient, we've arranged for a hassle-free self-check-in using a smart locks system. We send codes in the morning on the check-in day.
2) Your code works for both the main entrance door and your room. Please keep this code confidential and do not share it with anyone else.
3) Rooms are located on the second floor. Follow the signs to find your room.
4) Entering the Access Code: Touch the keypad to light up the numbers. Enter the provided access code on the keypad and press the "#" key. You will hear a confirmation sound, and the door will unlock. If you enter the wrong code multiple times, the system will temporarily lock for 1–2 minutes. Please wait and try again after the timeout.
5) Bed Assignment: Please note that we do not assign beds. You are welcome to choose any available bed in your designated room upon arrival. However, kindly ensure that the bed you select is unoccupied (not marked, no items on the bed, rolled blanket).
7) Mark your bed with your assigned letter tag, which we sent you in email. If you do not mark your bed, it could be taken by another guest! If you’re unsure of your assigned letter, please email us at hostel@laekur.is

Check out is before 11am. Please take off your bed sheet when you leave (so we know which bed to clean).

🅿️ Parking
You can park your car everywhere on the streets nearby and it is free of charge. Please do not park your car or private parking spots (in front of Pylsumeistarinn, Brauð & co, Fru Lauga, Ísbúðin and Krambúðin).
✈️ Getting to the Keflavik International Airport
The most convenient way is to take a taxi all the way to the airport. It usually takes around 45 minutes to drive. The price is from 20.000 ISK. Phone: +354 588 5522, website: www.hreyfill.is
There is a bus transfer FLYBUS going all the way from our doors to the airport via BSI bus station. The price is 5.199 ISK
If you have already FLYBUS+ tickets and need to register pick up, please fill the form online on the page https://www.re.is/purequest or send email to main@re.is. In this email include your ticket number, pickup day and time, the number of passengers, and your full name. Be sure to mention that the pickup is from Lækur Hostel. Pick up point is in front of the hostel entrance.

🛅 Luggage storage after check-out
There are luggage lockers available across Reykjavik. The nearest to us is located in the Reykjavik Campsite, 8 minutes walking distance. Open from 8:00-22:00.
